The fine print

Privacy policy.

The short version: we know your email and that you paid. The timer runs on your machine and doesn't tell us what happened at your table. We wouldn't want to know.

01What the website collects

  • Your account: an email address and a password, which we store hashed. That's the whole account.
  • Billing: our payment processor handles your card. We get back a confirmation, the last four digits and the expiry, so we can show you which card is on file. We never receive the full number.
  • Support: if you write to us, we keep the thread so we can answer it.
  • Cookies: one, to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers, no analytics that follow you off the site.

02What the app collects

The Dirty Poker Timer runs entirely on your machine. Your blind structures, your player lists, your payouts and everything Sal said are stored locally and never leave it. The one thing the app sends us is an activation check: when you sign in inside it, it tells us your account and a token for that machine so we can confirm the seat is active and count it against your three machines. That's it. No usage statistics, no crash reports, nothing during a game.

03Who we share it with

  • Our payment processor, to take the money.
  • Our email provider, to send receipts, reset links and the occasional "we changed the terms" note.
  • Nobody else. We don't sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't hand it to advertisers.
  • The police, only if we're legally required to, and only what we're required to.

04How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account, plus whatever the tax people make us keep for billing records. Delete your account and everything that isn't a legally required billing record goes with it within 30 days.

05Your rights

You can see, export, correct or delete what we hold about you. Most of it is on your account page; for the rest, write to us and a person will handle it within 30 days. If you're in the EU, the UK, California or anywhere else with a privacy law, you have the rights that law gives you, and we'll honour them without making you cite the article number.

06Age

This is an adult product with an adult vocabulary. We don't knowingly take accounts from anyone under 18. If you think we have one, tell us and it's gone.

07Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you first. The date at the top always tells you which version you're reading.

08Contact

Privacy questions, deletion requests, or you just want to know what we have: talk to the house.
